Ingrid joined Rotary in October 2020 and runs her own photography business focusing on documentary style wedding photography and personal branding photography. She is also in the midst of launching my own digital agency, radiating from her love of developing websites.
Rotary Orgin Story: I've been wanting to find a way to give back for a few years. Then I happened to get contracted to shoot wedding photography for REQ President Nick Lim, and after seeing all the stuff he posted about REQ on social media I was sold.
If you were to stand in anyone else's shoes, living or passed, whom would it be and why? I think it would be incredible insightful to stand in the shoes of someone who faces discrimination on a daily basis, whether it be based on race, sexual orientation or other factors.
What is your most valuable skill set? Most people would probably say my photography, but I would say my analytical brain and ability to adapt to any situation thrown at me.
Tell us a personal attribute you are proud of. I'm proud of my optimistic mindset. Whatever happens I'm always able to find a positive in a negative.
Do you enjoy the outdoors? I love the outdoors. I love hiking mountains and going for walks in new exciting locations. Landscape photography has always been a hobby of mine so nature is where it's at.
What is your idea of fun? Escape rooms, board games and house parties with good friends.
If you were to meet your 15 year old self what advice would you give them? To invest in Bitcoin and start reading self development and phycology books while you're still young.
What is your go-to dinner recipe and how do you make it? I'm not much of a cook but I make a mean homemade Hawaiian pizza with a homemade base (yes pineapple belongs on pizza, fight me!)
If you could change one thing about the world what would it be and why? That everyone would seek to understand others, not judge.
What exciting activities do you dream of trying someday? Sea Kayaking the fjords of Lofoten Islands in Norway.
What is your preferred form of communication style? Assertive communication.
