The City of Armadale and Impact Seed proudly present the first GivingBackathon in Armadale!
Armadale and Perth is filled with budding Change Makers or Social Entrepreneurs just waiting for the opportunity to spark an idea that can help them make a difference in Armadale and the world. These people are everyday people, who just have a passion of helping others or feel it's humanity's responsibility to help solve our own social problems. Are you one of these people? Does spending time with others like-minded people, being creative and innovative sound like a good way to spend a Friday night and Saturday in May? Then we want you!
Join us for Armadale's first ever GivingBackathon, our own take on a social innovation hackathon. The GivingBackathon runs across two days, Friday night and Saturday.
Places are limited to 100 people, so book your free ticket now. Click here.
The event is also supported by KomUnity, Parkerville Children and Youth Care, Bedfordale Connect Inc, Business Foundations, Communicare and Armadale Youth Intervention Partnership.

The event will essentially take a traditional Hackathon approach, creating 8 teams around important social issues, then take them through the Design Thinking Process to come up with innovative ideas, test them, prototype them and at the end of the event pitch them against the 8 other ideas. These ideas can be technology focused but doesn't have to be.
On Saturday afternoon, 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize will be awarded to the 3 most innovative ideas, decided by our panel of independent judges.
If you haven’t done anything like this before, think of it as a great learning opportunity - there will be plenty of mentors and volunteers on the days to help or answer any questions.
So challenge yourself with something new and exciting, and book you FREE ticket now.
