Re-purpose the surplus food in your pantry, all that excess to requirements stuff that might have been bought in a bit of a panic. Things have calmed down now, stocks of groceries at the shops have returned to normal. But there are vulnerable people in our community that could use your surplus food!

Rotary Elizabeth Quay (on behalf of Vinnies WA) are calling for non-perishable food donations to be delivered by kind donors to the the Loftus Recreation Centre (TO BE CONFIRMED) 99 Loftus St, Leederville.

Collection Date: Saturday 16 May 2020 between 9am and 5pm

Get a ticket to attend. There are two types:

  1. Donation of Food (need pick-up)

  2. Donation & Delivery of Food

We will need to know numbers of people intending to donate food, so that we can coordinate a safe spread across the day and adhere social distancing restrictions. Your contact details will be added to our mailing list so that we can contact you to coordinate your arrival timeframe or if you require a volunteer to pick-up your food donation.

Donations will follow our strict manual handling and hygiene procedures.

Our collection point will be staffed by Rotary volunteers who will be placing your food donations into specially prepared hampers that will be delivered by Vinnies to people in our community experiencing hardship.

We have a full list of preferred food items with rice and pasta being one of the most sought after items for the food hampers at this stage. You might want to donate other non-perishable food items that are not on our list and if so, we would be very grateful to receive any you can spare.

Please ensure any donated food items are not past their expiry date.
