Rotary of Elizabeth Quay invites fellow Rotarians and their friends to the TAKE 2 trial run of our virtual quiz night on the 9th of May from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. We're celebrating Mother's Day with games and prizes; all proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House.

Note: All ticket holders from TAKE 1 on ANZAC day will automatically have their tickets transferred to TAKE 2.

Lessons Learnt from TAKE 1:

Thanks to all the participants from TAKE 1 we discovered that Jitsi (the virtual room provider) has limitations on the number of rooms it can support from one admin, and our Live Stream software had capability issues.

What we will be doing differently in TAKE 2 is to simply stream straight to YouTube Live without additional software, and participants can organise a Team Collaboration Platform, ie. a virtual room (see below) of their choosing.

Instructions for attendees:

1. Have a computer, laptop or tablet device which has a webcam. Logging in using a smartphone is not recommended. If you and your friends are logging in from the same physical location, you will all need separate headphones (preferably with built-in microphones) to prevent audio feedback loops.

2. Rotary Elizabeth Quay will email you at 6pm on the day with the link to the private YouTube Live Stream, no download required. You will need to be logged into a YouTube account to be able to comment on the Live Stream.

3. Organise a virtual room for you are your friends to collaborate in, and log into it early from 7:00pm to make sure your technology is working and so you can join the pre-quiz game. The quiz officially starts at 7:30pm. See suggestions below for how to set up a virtual room.

4. Vote for a team name.

5. Choose a virtual scribe who has a smartphone to log into Mentimeter, so that they may answer the quiz questions on behalf of your team.

6. Say "Hi" to the nearest Mum for us!

For Group Purchases:

1. Click the Tickets Button

2. Select "As a group member"

3. Create your group

4. Enter a group name, and click "create group"

5. If you have a promo code, enter it and then select a Room number

6. Complete the purchase

Live Stream Platform:

At 6pm on the night, you will receive an invite to the online private YouTube Live Stream - sent to the email address you bought your ticket with.

Individual Tickets:

Participants that buy an individual ticket will be grouped with 5 potential new friends! We will provide you with a virtual Jitsi room (no download required) so that you can collaborate. If there are a couple of friends you'd like to be grouped with, let us know!

Please Note:

• You will need to have the Live Stream and your Team Collaboration Platform visible to you at the same time. This can either be achieved with dual screens or screen-splitting.
