Wirambi Landcare Busy-bee

  • Blue Gum Lake Mount Pleasant, Western Australia Australia (map)

Humans are part of the natural ecosystem and as such our mental well-being is linked to everything in that ecosystem, especially to the health of the land. On Sunday 10 April, RotaryEQ will be practising ecosystem mental health care by weeding and preparing the site for plants to go in the ground of the conservation area of Banksia Woodland area at Blue Gum Lake in partnership with Wirambi Landcare. Pulling out the invasive weeds which threaten our native flora can be a very therapeutic exercise, and some even use it as metaphorical experience for casting away intrusive thoughts.
